Club Championships

There are no qualifying times for Club Championship events.

The program and method of entry for Club Championships will be advertised on the Club Website, giving as much notice as possible to Members.

The events in the program are: 50 and 100m freestyle and form strokes, and 200 metre IM depending on the swimmers age.

The Skene Shield Mixed Handicapped Medley Relay is also held on the day.

Age is at 30 March.

The Club Age Champions are the male and female swimmer in each age group who accumulate the most points at the Club Championship meet and who is a registered financial member of the Club, excluding second claim members.

The age groups are 8 years & under, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 years & over.

Points for the Canberra ASC Age Champions are determined by a swimmer’s placing in each Championship event at the Club Championships, against other Club competitors, in the same age and gender categories. Points are awarded as follows:

1st – 8; 2nd – 5; 3rd – 3; 4th – 2; 5th & lower – 1;

Swimmers who win their age group at club championships will receive a trophy at presentation day. There are no awards for second or third place or individual races.
